Typical bench work
Simple socket or switch replacement sits at the low end. A full rewire of a single-socket table lamp is a modest flat job. Multi-socket floor lamps and chandeliers scale with the number of arms.
Restoration work
Antique restoration is quoted per piece because sourcing period hardware is the variable, not labour. We always quote before starting and never proceed past the quote without calling you.
Repair or replace
As a rule, if the lamp is solid brass, hand-blown glass, signed, or has family history, repair wins. A ten-year-old import with a cracked plastic base usually doesn't.
When to hand it to a professional
Anything involving heat damage, exposed conductors, tripped breakers or ladder work over a stairwell belongs on a workbench or with a technician on site. Philliparo Co. handles all of it from our Allen workshop — see our services or call (972) 798-3761.
