About Philliparo Co.

A specialist lamp repair workshop in Allen, Texas — built around one idea: most lamps are worth saving.

Why a lamp workshop still makes sense

Lighting is the one category of household goods that got disposable fastest. A lamp that would have been rewired twice in its lifetime forty years ago now goes to the kerb because nobody local will open it up. Philliparo Co. exists because the maths hasn't actually changed: a solid brass lamp with good glass is still worth more than the repair that brings it back, and a chandelier is almost never cheaper to replace than to fix.

How we work

Every lamp gets the same sequence. It comes in, it goes on the bench, and it is tested before anyone quotes a number. You then get a call or an email with what is wrong, what it costs and how long it will take. Nothing proceeds without your agreement, and if we find something else once we are inside, we stop and call you.

Finished work is load-tested under power for a sustained period before we call it done. Sockets are checked for heat, cords for strain relief, and shades for fit and clearance. It is a short list, but it is the difference between a lamp that works today and a lamp that works in ten years.

What sits on our bench

Restored floor lamps with warm amber shades in a showroom

A typical week runs from a $40 switch replacement on a child's bedside lamp to a multi-week restoration of an inherited torchiere. We handle table and floor lamps, chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces, mid-century fixtures, industrial salvage pieces and the occasional oil lamp conversion. If it is meant to hold a bulb, it is in scope.
