Frequently Asked Questions
Costs, turnaround, in-home service, warranties and what is actually worth repairing.
How much does lamp repair cost?
Most bench repairs such as a socket, switch or plug replacement fall into a modest flat range, while full rewires and multi-arm chandelier work are quoted per piece. We always give you a price before any work starts.
How long will my repair take?
Simple table and floor lamp repairs are frequently finished within one to three business days. Antique restoration and chandelier work depend on parts sourcing, and we give you a realistic date when we quote.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Chandeliers, hardwired sconces and oversized fixtures are handled on site across Allen, Collin County and the surrounding North Texas communities.
Is it worth repairing an old lamp?
Usually, if the lamp is solid brass, hand-blown glass, signed by a maker, or has family meaning. We will tell you honestly when replacement is the better value.
Can you match parts for antique lamps?
We keep a stock of period sockets, harps, finials and cloth-covered cord, and we source specialist parts when needed. Original hardware is preserved wherever it is safe to reuse.
Do you work on chandeliers with high ceilings?
Yes. We bring our own access equipment for two-storey entries and stairwells rather than asking you to arrange it.
Can you convert my lamps to LED?
We do this daily, including matching dimmers so there is no buzz or flicker, and keeping colour temperature consistent from room to room.
Do you offer a warranty?
All parts we fit and the workmanship behind them are guaranteed. If something we repaired misbehaves, bring it back and we will make it right.
